50" - 16:9 - 1920 x 1080 - Surround - HDTV - MPN: P50V701
Strengths: Very nice picture, very customizable display options on a per input basis, lots of front and back inputs, well designed remote control, lots of optional features add value (PIP, for example)
Weakness: Function as a center speaker does not work well, muting the television does not mute the digital audio output, moving between inputs seems kind of slow, no direct buttons to get to specific inputs
Based on the price that I paid, the Hitachi P50V701 50" Plasma Television is an excellent value. The television
has a wide array of feature not found on a lot of models and a wide selection of inputs that allows for a
significant number of devices. The pros of this TV highly outway the cons.
Overall rating: 8.5/10

Excelllent TV
Strengths: The quality of picture is superior to other plasma screen I've had in my home. The auto day/night light feature blew me away. It enhanced my surround system. Awesome sound quality on games and STB's.
Weakness: I have to agree with previous rater on the center speaker console, it does not do the job well, so using a powered center speaker on my surround system made up for the poor quality. Not enough HDMI Ports
PRO's are too many to list here. However I brought two of these puppies much cheaper that the price listed anywhere on the internet. Highly recommend this unit as a high-mid to upper grade TV for anyone wanting a unit that will grow with their entertainment needs. This one has it all. After reading the user manual twice, I was extremely impresses with how featured rich this unit really is, one can't go wrong. I purchased it locally in my area, and was very happy with my decision. I use both of these units for gaming and TV viewing. There are not enough HDMI Ports for all of my toys is the only physical and personal opinion I truly have on this unit since 90 percent of my toys are HD output. Other than what I wrote, I think I will be happy for a long time on this issue.
